Meezan Bank, the largest Islamic Bank in Pakistan has been conferred the Best Islamic Bank Award by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Shahbaz Sharif bestowed this award to Mr. Saleem Khan Regional Manger – North, Meezan Bank at 21st RCCI achievement awards ceremony held at the Convention Center in Islamabad.
Mr. Abul Rauf Chaudhry President, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry praised the commitment and contribution of Meezan Bank in spreading the Islamic Banking in Pakistan. Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Meezan Bank for winning the Best Islamic Bank award and assured his support to Meezan Bank. President & CEO Meezan Bank, Mr. Irfan Siddiqui said that this award is an honor for all the employees and management of Meezan Bank Ltd and was only possible because of dedicated efforts of employees and dynamic leadership of Meezan Bank.Meezan Bank, the first and largest Islamic Bank in Pakistan received Islamic commercial banking license by the State bank of Pakistan in 2002. In the past six years, Meezan Bank has grown from being a small niche player operating with only 6 branches at the end of 2002 to a Bank now with 115 online branches and sub branches all over Pakistan.
