Promoting Financial Inclusion through National Financial Literacy Program (NFLP)

January 7th, 2025

Meezan Bank, in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), continues its commitment to enhancing financial literacy through its participation in the National Financial Literacy Program (NFLP). As the leading partner in the SBP’s Islamic Financial Literacy Program (IFLP), Meezan Bank aims to empower individuals with essential knowledge about financial products, particularly within Islamic banking.

Recently, Meezan Bank organized an awareness session for the unbanked population in Karachi to bridge the financial inclusion gap. The session, led by Mr. Mohammed Mohsin, a Field Trainer at Meezan Bank, engaged over 50 participants and covered key concepts of Islamic banking, including the features and benefits of Islamic financial products.

The Bank distributed IFLP handbooks to attendees, supporting its strategy to deliver financial education to unbanked and underbanked communities. This initiative promotes financial inclusion, essential for economic growth, by equipping individuals with knowledge to access Islamic financial services, regardless of socio-economic status.

Through these efforts, Meezan Bank is contributing to the long-term goal of enhancing financial literacy and inclusion across Pakistan, supporting the nation’s broader economic development objectives.
